Week beginning 5th October 2020
Our new focus book is ‘What makes me a me?’ By Ben Faulkes.
We will use this book to ask the very important question: What makes me special?
As well as retelling the story and creating story maps, we will also be using our circle time to discuss ways that we are similar and different, the things that make us happy and different ways we can be a good friend.
Our number of the week is 2 and we will be exploring the concept of one and one more both in our math inputs and in the environment.
Week beginning 21st September 2020
We will be spending the next two weeks focusing on the book ‘Owl Babies’ written by Martin Waddle.
We will be looking at the title, the author, the illustrator and the blurb and finding out why these are so important when looking at books. We will also be retelling the story using actions and creating our very own story maps.
Week beginning 5th September 2020
It has been so wonderful to welcome all of the children back to school. Myself and Miss De Vergori are really proud of how mature and resilient the children have been during their first days back at school. Everyone has settled in so well.
A couple of reminders:
Our PE day is Monday. Children will need to come to school wearing their PE kit, including suitable shoes for outdoor movement, as PE sessions will take place outdoors.
Please could all uniform, coats, lunchboxes and water bottles be very clearly labelled with your child's name? This will allow us to return lost items back to children very quickly.
All EYFS children are entitled to a free school lunch. Each morning they will be asked to choose from two options. If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements, please inform the office. Children can bring a packed lunch should you prefer.
We will be updating our class pages regularly on Class Dojo! Please check in to see what we are up to. If you need to connect to Dojo, please let us know and we can support you with this.
Thank you for all of your continued support,
Children will come back on Thursday 3rd September and will have a half day, 8.35-12pm. This is the same for Friday.
On Monday 7th September children will be dropped off and picked up on the times stated in the letter. Thank you
