This half term we are learning all about ourselves as well as settling into our new class with our new routines. We are looking at similarities and differences between ourselves and others, painting self portraits, discussing what makes us special, learning about respecting others, turn taking and sharing.
Every 2 weeks we will have a 'Book of the fortnight' which will involve having a focus book which we will learn about in more detail. Our books this half term are 'Owl Babies' and 'What Makes me a Me.'
In Sharman class we are very good at looking after living things. We have pet stick insects in our classroom which we love to observe. They can be very tricky to find as they look so much like sticks! Sometimes we get them out in our classroom and some of us look forward to holding them.
We also enjoy helping to feed the birds. We always provide both food and water in our school garden and we find it very exciting when we see birds coming to our feeders to eat.
