Children transfer into Key Stage 1 in September of the academic year in which they will be six years old and join Year 1. Key Stage 1 covers Years 1 and 2.
Their work is based on the Key Stage 1 curriculum which builds on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and they have a daily Literacy and Maths lesson. Their lessons, where possible, are based around a theme which the children often have a stake in planning. We believe that children in Key Stage 1 should still have as many opportunities as possible to learn through play and ‘real life’ experiences.
Thank you to all of Key Stage 1 for the fabulous Christmas Performances. You all did the school, yourselves and parent's proud!!! Well done everyone!
