Welcome to Year 4
In Faraday class our Teacher is Miss Hargreaves and our Teaching Assistant is Mr Lovett.
In Edison class our Teacher is Mr Gard and our Teaching Assistants are
Mrs Cox and Mrs Surgey.
Our Team Teacher is Mr Moses.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter and had lots of fun in lock down. Most importantly we hope that you all keeping safe!
After a short break, we will be starting to set new activities and assignments to complete on Busy Things and also updating tasks to complete on Mathletics. We are always there to talk to you on Class Dojo. And don't forget to tune in to Class Dojo every Wednesday to see your beautiful/ handsome teacher reading a story.
Our new topic for Summer 1 will be Why does it rain? I'm not sure but maybe it's because I lied when I was 17...
During this time, please explore your BBC bitesize and exlpore the water cycle, weather and rivers.
As we are not all together it would be lovely to see things you have learnt about this topic on Class Dojo.
Please feel free to message us with any questions you have and also send photos of the amazing work that you are doing.

If you have any questions about the activities or would like to share a photo of the work they have done, please send your child's class teacher a message on Class Dojo or post a picture into their learning portfolio and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Class Dojo will be the main way we use to share other tasks/ games and generally keeping in touch over the coming weeks, as well as keeping the website as up to date as possible. If you do not have access to Class Dojo, please email the school to get your Class Dojo log in details.
For the Busy Things tasks, on your account you will get notified of which tasks will need to be completed. Alongside this, you have your set tasks on Mathletics.

Our Whole School Quest question is: Isn't life amazing?
Our Y4 Quest question this term is: Do you hear what I hear?
As part of our quest topic we have been learning about how we hear things and how how sound is made. We will also be looking at teeth and digestion. In computing we will be using a piece of software called Scratch. This is a free piece of software and cam be downloaded at home if you want to join your child in learning how to be a computer programmer.
Children have had an amazing year so far and are doing DSA proud. We look forward to discussing your child's progress with you in more detail during parents evening this half term.
