At DSA we have several student leadership groups linked to our threads.

This group works to add to our own community and be outward facing to our wider community. They plan and lead charitable initiatives e.g. collecting for the food bank or raising money for the school and aim to have a positive impact on local issues and causes, as well as promoting stronger in school relationships. Each class from year 2-6 have representatives on this team.

The diversity team champions diversity and inclusion across the school - ensuring all pupils feel respected, represented and valued. The organise cultural celebrations and lead campaigns against discrimination e.g. Show Racism the Red Card. Each class has a representative in this group.
Identity GroupOur identity group explore and celebrate our individual and collective identities in school. It promotes self-expression, confidence and belonging. They create safe spaces to pupils to share, promote mental health, wellbeing and self-esteem so that pupils have increased self confidence. Pupils are represented from each class.

This group is working on the global sustainability goals to ensure our school is as sustainable as possible. Each class has a representative in this group who work with teachers and the site manager to make real change for the future.
These pupils keep our library smart and the books well looked after. They apply for the position in writing, sharing why they would be good to be. Catch them sharing books at lunch time.
