School Improvement
These are our focus areas for our Academy Improvement Plan in 2025-26:
1. Quality of Education
• Embed a consistent, high-quality lesson sequence across all classrooms.
• Launch a two-year-old provision to support early development.
• Ensure curriculum planning is coherent and inclusive.
• Strengthen assessment practices to support pupil progress.
• Develop oracy skills across the curriculum.
• Enhance provision for mixed-age classes (Years 3 & 4).
2. Outcomes and Priority Groups
• Raise achievement for all pupils, with a focus on:
- White British disadvantaged boys.
- Pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
• Implement targeted interventions and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Track progress rigorously and adapt support accordingly.
3. Parents and the Community
• Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community.
• Increase parental confidence in supporting learning.
• Improve communication and engagement with EAL families.
• Expand pastoral support and community resources.
• Broaden access to extra-curricular and holiday clubs.
• Involve parents in school evaluation and decision-making.
4. Personal Development
• Empower pupils through leadership roles and voice.
• Embed careers-related learning across the curriculum.
• Develop a safeguarding curriculum tailored to local needs.
• Launch a sustainability strategy aligned with national guidance.
