This page will give you more information, as a parent or carer, about special educational needs at Strelley.
The percentage of pupils at school identified as having SEND is 18%.
Our most common area of need is Communication and Interaction - including Speech and Language and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
We have recently (Summer 2024) opened a Focused Provision Unit for pupils with ASD. For more information about this facility please read the Acorns information.
We have many interventions to support children in school:
- We have a speech therapist who attends school regularly and there is intense speech and language interventions throughout school.
- We have trained staff who deliver ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) programmes.
If you have any concerns about your child’s learning, behaviour or health needs, please do not hesitate to contact the SENCo - Miss Charlotte Hiett via email on admin@strelley.djanogly.org or telephone the school office.
