Work with our community
Working alongside Nottingham City Council
We were visited by James King, Waste and Recycling Schools Engagement Officer from Nottingham City Council and Susan Marong, Governor and Local Area clean champion coordinator for Aspley and Bilborough. They delivered an assembly to KS2 on the importance of looking after the environment and all about how to be a clean champion in our local community.
Sustainability Squad
Our amazing sustainability squad met to decide how to have a positive impact on the school environment. As a team, they decided to create a litter picking rota for different year groups to help around the school site. Let's all help keep our school environment the best it can be.
Litter picking legends!
Well done to the school council who recently supported the Bilborough Ward Community Protection Team with their spring clean around Strelley. The children were fine ambassadors for our school and doing really great work in the local community.
Meeting Lillian Greenwood MP
Pupils in Year 6 had the opportunity to meet our local MP Lillian Greenwood. She talked about what her role is in supporting the constituency of Nottingham South. She held a Q&A session where pupils asked a variety of questions, learning about the democratic process and local issues.
