Family Support Worker

Hello, my name is Gail Martin.  I am the Family Support Worker at Djanogly Strelley Academy, with responsibility for Safeguarding children and families within the school community. I have worked in the NG8 area for over 20 years. (At DSA since September 2016 and prior to that with the Local Health Visiting Team).

My role is to support you and your family to try and help make home and school life a little easier.

The range will be vast and will be tailored to your individual needs, whilst respecting confidentiality and the schools policies and procedures. 

Some of the  things I offer include:-

Support with filling in forms (DLA, school admissions, Paediatric forms and information),

Contacting services and agencies (Benefits agencies, Paediatrician, ADHD Nurse and Social Care)

Charity applications for household items.

Issuing Food bank vouchers that can be used at the Local food banks.

If you feel that I may able to help you or your family, I am normally outside the main reception every morning and every evening at school drop off and pick up time.
