Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Children have special educational needs if they have a learning difficulty which calls for special educational provision to be made for them. At Djanogly Strelley Academy we are committed to ensuring that all children achieve their greatest potential and we work in partnership with parents, pupils, health, social and other support services to ensure the best possible provision at our school.

Children with special educational needs and disabilities are monitored closely by the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), who chairs regular meetings with all parties involved and ensures that progress is continuously monitored.
