The Kanneh-Mason family are a group of siblings who are all musical and work hard at their instruments.  The oldest of the seven siblings is 29 and the youngest is just 15.  Their mother was born in Sierra Leone but moved to Wales as a young girl, where as their father is from Antiguan heritage.  Their most current album, River of Music was released on the 12th of September and was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios.  All seven children were educated at schools in Nottingham city and all attended Trinity Catholic School which is just down the road.

1. Visit from Mariatu Kanneh-Mason

We have been lucky enough to have received a visit from the youngest of the seven Kanneh-Mason siblings, Mariatu Kanneh-Mason, who is 16 years old and currently studying for her GCSE's at Trinity Catholic School. She played a beauitiful piece on her cello and answered the children's many questions. It was a truly wonderful opportunity to meet someone exquisitely gifted on a musical instrument and hear about their life, dreams and ambitions for the future.
