Every class uses a Maths book with squares. Depending on the year group the size of the squares gets smaller.

KS1

In Year 1 and 2, we are mainly using worksheets.  At the top, you will find the short date and Learning Objective (LO). We then either use purple pens for self marking, or the teacher will mark with a green pen. The LO will be highlighted in green if they have met the LO, or underlined in dotted green lines if they are still working towards their target.

KS2

We use a mixture of writing on sheets and in books. In books, we write the short date, Roman Numeral date, Learning Objective (LO) and starter questions (RR).  Each number is expected to be written in what we call ‘1 digit per square’. We then either use purple pens for self marking, or the teacher will mark with a green pen. The LO will be highlighted in green if they have met the LO, or underlined in dotted green lines if they are still working towards their target.
