In Geography, we have been learning about the Amazon rainforest located in Brazil which stretches into some surrounding countries. The children have learned about the uses of the rainforest and the dangers that animals and plants face there. They have been able to link their knowledge back to rivers and the water cycle.

In Art, we have been learning about the French artist Paul Cezanne. His work has inspired our own landscape paintings in which we have focused on details in the foreground, background and midground. We have also recapped primary colours and how we use these to create secondary colours.

In Science, we have been exploring states of matter and learned how substances freeze, melt and what is actually happening to them at a particle level. We have also enjoyed a fantastic workshop in which we made slime!
